Conceptual Contact Sport

Philosophy is a conceptual contact sport. You think something, say it, I think about it, and say something back. We call this bouncing ideas around, except that philosophers and theorists more generally mean for their "projectile" to make contact with his or her interlocutor. When done well and appropriately, its a valuable and satisfying experience.

Below, from time to time, I will share some thoughts on various topics, whether it be political theory methodology or race and politics in today's climate or the way humor indicates our capacity for moral cognition and the resources that provides in engendering a kind of social ethos. One luminary refers to such mental protrusions as thoughtsicles (metaphysical entities brought into ontological being as a result of the will to reflect - See Tracy Jordan, 30 Rock). Therefore the below space is meant to allow for a wide range of conversations on matters of import to the conceptually inclined.
